DUCHESS ANDORRA finally got her head in front at the 10th time of asking at Listowel where she made every yard and it would be no great shock if she were to stage a repeat so she's given the nod. Another three-year-old, Sweet Cherry, is in very good form and followed her victory over 1m2f at Leopardstown with a cracking effort over 1m4f at Bellewstown. Pit Stop hasn't been beaten far in tough handicaps in recent weeks and will love the trip and fast ground but the assessor is reluctant to loosen his grip on Defining Year. Hi Emperor beat Akasaka over 7f here in July and is best over that trip while Smoker has been unable to take advantage of a lower mark on his past two starts. Equation Of Time was impressive at Listowel but he'd been given a chance in the ratings that day and has an 8lb rise to contend with.
