Verdict
Man On The Hill, Kock De La Vesvre and Ivanoph look the trio to concentrate on here with preference for the first mentioned. Man On The Hill hails from a stable beginning to come back into form after a dismal season and showed signs of returning to his best when second to Aelred at Newcastle last month. With ground conditions to suit, Ferdy Murphy's gelding looks the one to be on. The Paul Nicholls-trained Ivanoph continues to disappoint and may be a shade high in the weights at present so a bigger threat to the selection may come from Kock De La Vesvre. Venetia Williams has her team in good form at present and this gelding comes here on the back of a win at Towcester last time. He has to be respected but has more to do off his new mark today. A market mover for Super Nomad would be of interest, while Mumaris has a nice racing weight but the vote goes to Man On The Hill, who is belatedly taken to open his account for the season.
