Verdict
Dusky Warbler can gain an overdue win at the expense of Prompt Payment, Mystic Mile and New South Wales. Dusky Warbler has been unfortunate on his last two visits to Town Moor. Beaten by Red Carnation at this meeting last year, Michael Bell's charge more recently came up against Persian Punch in the Doncaster Cup. He sweated up badly beforehand but nevertheless finished ahead of the likes of Hugs Dancer and Zindabad and as long as conditions do not firm up, can make amends here. This race has been the target for some time and he will be aimed at the Cup races next year, all being well. Mystic Mile is a progressive filly who was second in Listed company last time. She too will appreciate any cut in the ground. The same applies to Prompt Payment who has a bit to find with Mystic Mile on Yarmouth form. New South Wales has been a bitter disappointment since joining Godolphin from John Oxx but has been taking on Group company, so it would be foolish to dismiss him entirely providing that he stays the trip. Dusky Warbler deserves a change of luck though and is the selection.
