Al Ihtithar has hit form at the right time and can put an end to the run of Alrabab, with Helderburg, Millagros, Pride and Russian Society just three others to help make a race of it. Third in a Listed event at Newbury last October, Al Ihtithar has been brought along very patiently by Barry Hills who reported that she had been working very well at home prior to her battling victory over Tadris at Newmarket. The runner-up franked the form when scoring at Lingfield last weekend and so hopes are high that Al Ihtithar will follow up. The trainer of Tadris, Marcus Tregoning, saddles the very much in-form Alrabab, but all runs must come to an end so we are happy to take her on. Gerard Butler is in splendid form at present so bets of the rest could be Pride, who could be a lot better than the bare form of her Newbury maiden success indicates. The ex-David Loder-trained Russian Society hacked up on her Godolphin bow at Newcastle and is another that could be anything in time. For now though, Al Ihtithar represents the best value and is the pick of some nice fillies.
