Verdict
Just the five runners, but an interesting affair in which Matloob gets the verdict ahead of Imperial Stride and White Hawk. The selection could hardly have been more impressive when winning at Leicester on his debut and this well-related son of Halling can improve again, as he will need to. Sir Michael Stoute runs Imperial Stride, a brother to the useful 12 furlong performer High Pitched who cost 375,000gns, won well at Yarmouth on his debut. However, the selection might have a bit too much toe for him at this stage of his career. White Hawk also won well on his debut from subsequent scorer Billy Allen, but more is certain to be needed this time around. The other pair cannot be fancied, but Matloob could be smart and can land an interesting contest.
