Verdict
A good little race despite the lack of numbers and Lacdoudal, who is on the upgrade in spite of his frustrating form figures, is selected in preference to Le Royal and Copsdale Lad, who can battle it out as the best of the rest. Tipp Top, who completes the line up, has plenty of experience from his time in Ireland but his debut for his current yard did not suggest that his losing streak was about to come to an end and he is probably best watched this afternoon. Copsdale Lad has a solid profile from last season and has to be of interest today. However, his yard's runners have tended to come on for their seasonal debuts and he is probably best watched today. Le Royal also built up a good profile of himself last term and should find a race before too long. But his latest start was too disappointing to be true and is hard to recommend until he shows us a little more. Therefore, we switch to Lacdoudal, who has not done very much wrong in his races so far and, as he can be relied upon to go down fighting, he may have too much heart for the rest if they are not up for a battle today.
