        Verdict

        A galloping track has always brought the best out Always Rainbows, who is selected as the value call in a very tricky handicap. Fireaway, a previous winner at this track and Once Seen are others that are worth monitoring in the betting, while Dolce Vida has the capabilities to go close and should not be dismissed for those hoping for one to hit the frame at a fair price. He is 7lb better off with Once Seen today and can give them all something to think about now that he has got the benefit of a recent run behind him. The last mentioned will also be better for his latest start and will be hard to shake off if his rise in weights is taken in his stride. However, Always Rainbows has really started to show some of his old sparkle lately and, with the drop in trip very much in his favour, he could be the surprise package of the race. The fact that he is 4lb out of the handicap obviously does not make his task an easy one. However, he is now very attractively weighted in comparison to his rating at this time last year, so this could be the time to catch a very well handicapped Always Rainbows before looking elsewhere for one to go well at long odds.
