Verdict
A good, competitive way to round off the action at Doncaster and a race that can go to Mister McGoldrick, who is preferred over Castleshane and Mobasher, who are just a couple that have to be respect today. The latter has a long absence to overcome but hails from a yard in-form. He fared well against some good opposition last season and can be expected to be ready to do himself justice today. He won on his first start for his current yard when he raced on this card last year and he has to be placed at the top of the list of alternatives if the betting indicates that he is primed for the day. Castleshane is another has been a consistent type to follow and can usually be relied upon to run his race. However, it is debatable whether he can make every yard of the running this afternoon and he may be a sitting duck for the rest. Another worth a mention is Hawadeth, who has a touch of class about him and has long threatened to win a big race. However, he has been struggling with the handicapper and has it to do on the terms of today's contest. Especially when the claims of Mister McGoldrick are taken into account. Sue Smith's charge reverts to hurdles after a successful period over fences which saw his rating shoot up to 150 the last time he raced. Set to go off a mark 15lb lower mark this afternoon, Mister McGoldrick looks thrown in on the best of his form and he will take all the beating if he is anywhere near his best.
