          Verdict

          A high draw could prove beneficial here and Palawan has the ideal position in stall 21, to follow up his recent win at Salisbury. Andrew Balding's seven-year-old has been a wonderful servant to connections, winning a total of nine races. He goes well for Neil Chalmers, who has won five races on him and he is taken to make all up the stands' rail. No shortage of dangers including Strensall, who at the age of six, appears better than ever. A pacey sort, he is well drawn and looks sure to play a prominent role. Tommy Smith needs to dominate, something he may not do with so many front-runners taking part, while Justalord has enjoyed a good summer, but may be in the hands of the Handicapper for the time being. Frascati and Midnight Parkes are others of note, but we will stick with the in-form Palawan to continue his winning run.
