Verdict

This is a hot contest in which none of the runners can be safely discounted. Milk It Mick has plenty of experience and probably turned in his bet effort to date when chasing home Barbajuan home in the Group 3 Solario Stakes last time. He is battle hardened and is sure to go well, but the one they all have to beat is the relentless galloper Lucky Story. Mark Johnston's colt has made rapid stride's since getting turned over on his debut, picking up a couple of small contest's since, before taking a big step up into Group 2 company at Goodwood, where, despite not appearing to be entirely at home on the track, turned in a thoroughly professional display to see off The Mighty Tiger. With more to come from this exciting colt, he is the choice in what looks a strong renewal, despite having to give the weight away. Auditorium is learning all the time and this step up in trip looks sure to bring about more improvement from him. A nice, scopey colt, he is certain to give a good account. Azarole has been impressive in landing a couple of minor contests, and while he is open to improvement, this is a big step up in class for him. Barry Hills has a fine record here and Haafhd is worthy of plenty of respect. A half-brother to Group 2 winner Munir, he is not to be underestimated. Leitrim House achieved little when winning his maiden, form of which leaves him plenty to find here, but he is from a yard that has tasted plenty of big-race success with its juveniles and is not one to dismiss lightly. However, Lucky Story is a colt of some promise and has already done it at this level and despite having to give weight away, is taken to pas this stern test.
