Verdict

The beautifully bred Milafonic has been missing since the Spring, along with Tacitus and they will surely need the outing, while Battle Chant has been missing since he was struck into at Newmarket back in June, so with fitness doubts about some of these a chance is taken with Guineas failure Audience. Unbeaten as a juvenile, he has failed miserably this year, but there were signs at Chepstow last time, when runner-up to Attache, that a case can be made for him here. He should again take care of Checkit, who was behind him there and a bigger threat should be the lightly raced Bury St Edmunds. The winner of his maiden at Newbury, James Fanshaw's colt wasn't disgraced in defeat at Yarmouth behind a couple of progressive sorts in Beneventa, who was completing a four-timer and Putra Kuatan, who had won his previous race. Our Teddy is well exposed and shouldn't be good enough at this level. So, with iffs and but's about the majority of his rivals, Audience looks to have been found the ideal opening.
