In depth
Verdict
Another competitive affair in which many can be given chances on there best form. Another General was a fair hurdler and the gelding from the Richard Phillips yard made an encouraging debut over fences when second behind Tales Of Bounty At Taunton. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and will not be far away. Denada is also a lightly raced gelding and he was a staying on second behind Mr Cospector at Warwick last time out over a longer trip. However this sharper track is not sure to suit. Jaloux D'Estruval would also have a chance on his best form but he took a heavy fall at Hereford last time out. If his confidence has not been effected he could go close under his optimum conditions. Pendle Hill has ran some good races in defeat behind The Bajan Bandit and Man Murphy. This looks easier but this front runner may again be venerable to something with a finishing kick. Whether The Storm is a former point-to-point winner who has looked one paced over shorter trips. He should appreciate the longer distance but he appears to lack some of the scope of his rivals. Of the remainder Go White Lightning and King's Bounty would have a chance on there best form but they have been beset by jumping problems of late.
