In depth
Verdict
On breeding Goblin looks a typical Richard Hannon juvenile who is capable of running well first time up along with John Gosden's pair Scientist and Vikings Bay and Barry Hills' newcomer Desert Dreamer but the obvious selection is Pearl Diver who as well as being well bred has useful racecourse form to his name already having chased home Botanical in a decent race at York. The market will provide a good guide to most horses chances of those yet to race and confidence behind Goblin will suggest he is capable of running a big race on his debut. On breeding Vikings Bay looks Gosden's first string while Desert Dreamer holds an entry for next year's Derby and may find this trip on the sharp side.
