Verdict

A lot of runners but little in the way of quality and In The Pink is the call with Extremely Rare, Negaawi and Tapau all warranting a mention. The step back to seven furlongs did the trick for Mick Channon's representative last week and if anything tonights conditions should assist her greatly as she is more than capable of staying a little bit further than tonight's distance. Chris Caitlin rides. Extremely Rare has to be respected. This unexposed type is a real family affair as Tim Easterby's mother owns the filly. She handles cut in the ground and could quite literally be anything. Neqaawi has been raised 7lb for a win in a weak race at Beverley. There aren't too many Hamdan Al Maktoum horses at this lowly level so improvement is a probability if she can handle the ground. Tapau is highly interesting now that she is with Milton Bradley. Once rated in the mid-70's when with David Elsworth, she looks a more feasible option than Annijaz. Into The Pink gets the selection in the nightcap.
