In depth
Verdict
A chance is taken with Tipp Top, whose jumping has already stood up to scrutiny over these tricky fences and those experiences give him slightly stronger claims than Daguyda, who put in an improved effort last time, and Angel Delight, who has at least completed a couple of circuits of Town Moor without coming to grief. A mention also has to be passed on about Benefit, who was not winning out of turn at Fakenham nine days ago, but, at the age of eleven, does not strike as one to be going overboard about under a 7lb penalty here. A case can also be made for Lord Attica, as he stays well and, as a lightly raced individual, can only improve as he gains in experience. However, it the fact that Tipp Top has already preformed with credit over course and distance that gives us the confidence to back his claims again today. Especially as he has nothing to fear from the anticipated conditions or trip today.
