Verdict
Top weight Billyvoddan is in danger of becoming disappointing, so may be worth taking on with Keltic Rock, who lost nothing in defeat to Gold Medallist last month and is likely to represent good value in a contest like this. King Killone was only a head behind the selection at Exeter and, although 6lb worse off this afternoon, has already shown improvement and is another that can figure strongly. As can Reseda, who won a mares only race in good style last time and, with Tony McCoy doing the steering, should make a bold bid to follow up today. Billyvoddan will no doubt be popular amongst those willing to chase their loses from his last three starts. Admittedly he has done very little wrong and will be very hard to keep out of the frame. However, he has also proved to be vulnerable to a more progressive individual and, with the unexposed Keltic Rock very much on the upgrade, this presents Jonathan Geake will a great opportunity to gain his first winner at Doncaster as a trainer.
