In depth
Verdict
A dreadful race for backers with next to nothing to go one with only two of the 19 runners having raced previously and, what can only be a tentative vote goes to Rymon, who gets the vote over Charlotte Lamb and Golden Odyssey. The last mentioned is trained by Mary Reveley, who has a good record in bumpers, but being a daughter of Barathea she may want softer ground to show her best form. Sally Hall's Charlotte Lamb, a daughter of Pharly, has to be respected along with Julie Camacho's Slip Anchor filly Lago d'Oro. A market move for Alan Swinbank's Vitelli would be of interest but we just prefer Rymon. Malcolm Jefferson has his string in good form at present, the yard has a good record in these events and, at the forecast odds, he makes plenty of appeal.
