Mandurah bounced back to form when landing an apprentice handicap at Haydock last week and the David Nicholls-trained gelding is taken to confirm the form with the second that day Comptonspirit, despite meeting her on 3lbs worse terms for half-a-length, getting the verdict ahead of Rothesay Dancer and Baybshambles. The last mentioned has done little wrong this term and comes here on the back of a decent performance at Beverley when making the most of a high draw but a 7lb rise for that seems harsh. Sands Crooner has been running well on the Polytrack of late and looks well treated but he is not as good on turf. Hawaii Prince has been placed in both his last two starts but has been raised 2lbs for those runs now and of more interest may be Jim Goldie's Rothesay Dancer, who has shown a consistent level of form of late. David Nicholls has his team in good form at present though and the vote goes to his runner Mandurah, who is taken to follow up his Haydock victory.
