In depth

Verdict

This is for maiden chasers rated 116 or less over timber. Sovereign Gold has achieved that mark having easily won a Tipperary maiden hurdle before being placed three times over fences though she disappointed at Limerick in March. Her stable companion GATEAU DE MIEL looks to have more scope having won over timber on good ground here in August and performed well in a Punchestown handicap hurdle in November and is taken to make a successful chasing bow. Tullyveery Lad didn't get going until too late over 2m6f at Limerick while Quantum Realm would have a chance on his second in a Kilbeggan handicap but ran poorly there next time. Shanavoun Lady has had five runs over fences without showing much.
