In depth

Verdict

King's Vow, four times a winner on the Flat, made a reasonable start over timber at Cork then found 2m4f on heavy ground beyond him at Punchestown but today's conditions should bring about improvement. Tecumseh Sherman is also penalised for a bumper victory on this track and has shown enough potential over timber to suggest he can get competitive. Silvertown showed his first real sign of promise when stepped up to 2m3f here last month where he was only beaten half-a-length but it's about time winning point-to-pointer FAKIR D'ALENE was scoring under Rules. His recent second at Kilbeggan came over an extended 3m and Jordan Gainford is likely to make this a stamina test. Old Durham Town would have finished closer at Limerick but for mistakes and may provide the main threat.
