Verdict

The four-year-old Nigg Bay was only beaten a head in a handicap here in March but is likely to find some of these progressing past him. California Yoohoo attempted to make all over 6f last time but could only stay on at one pace when headed. He should be better suited by this trip though may find a couple too speedy. His stable also run the 90,000gns colt Astrospeed, who is worth a market check. RAPID REACTION showed little on Turf but came here for a handicap last month and was only beaten a head. That may be good enough as Early Call, who was also making his debut on the surface, was a length behind in fourth and is no better off at the weights. Tammy Wynette has only raced over 7f but shown very good pace in both starts including here. Waitingfortheday has changed stables since a fair run here in December and the half-sister to five winners is expected to do better this campaign.
