Many of these have won around here but have taken a long time to do it. Ken's Sam's was gaining his third course victory on his 21st start last week but has never won over this trip and second-placed Haqeeba, who was only headed close home, will be 5lb better off. Waitaki is generally consistent but has a poor strike-rate but MULZAMM (NAP) looks to have a fine chance. He's been very busy over the past few weeks but retains his form and was only caught close home by Lady Rosebud over a mile a couple of weeks ago. Red All Star is 2-28 on the track and very rarely runs over a trip this far.
