Catherine Chroi won a course and distance handicap in January and wasn't well drawn when only fifth in a similar race a couple of weeks later. She has the inside berth here and should get into the frame. Rock The Barzah has shown a bit of potential in maidens and handicaps and has the scope to do better but stable companion Falsaron has finished last in both starts here. Oh Say has been showing good pace in maidens over a mile on the track so the drop in trip should suit though in an ordinary claimer it's NAKAO who is taken to make a successful debut.
