      Verdict

      Obtain's close second to Marsa in a nursery here suggested an imminent victory and she was well supported next time but wasn't at her best. Her earlier form would put her right in the picture though ANO SYRA is a very progressive filly whose narrow defeat behind National Gallery a couple of weeks ago could get a boost in the opening race. The winner's yard is represented by the very speedily-bred Thunor, a 100,000gns yearling out of a 5f winner. His pedigree suggests he could be a flier while Dermot Weld had a winner here on Friday and the Teofilo newcomer Tharif is related to several winners though mostly over further.
