Verdict

King Of Gosford is the only course winner here having landed a similar race a fortnight ago for which he's been raised 6lb. Well supported that day there's probably more to come. Uncle Albert has his first start here after following a very close third at the Curragh with a fair effort over a trip too short at Navan. Starliner had been in good form on Turf all summer before finding Group 3 company much too hot at Newmarket but he could be well in on his handicap bow with his rider's claim taken into account. However, his stablemate HUXLEY (NAP) finished fourth to City Of Troy in a Curragh maiden before finding Capulet just too strong over a mile here and the winner has subsequently been placed in two Group 2's so that looks strong enough form for this. McTenett won a Naas maiden in style and can't have been right when well beaten at Cork
