Verdict

Snowfall made all in the Musidora at York with Teona beaten more than four lengths and Mystery Angel even further behind. She is among a quintet of Ballydoyle runners looking to further enhance Aidan O’Brien’s stunning record in this fillies’ classic but Divinely was only fourth in the Lingfield Oaks Trial behind Sherbet Lemon, Save A Forest and Ocean Road and Willow had no excuses when beaten in a Naas Group 3. La Joconde was only fourth in the Cheshire Oaks behind Dubai Fountain and ZEYAADAH. The latter pair look closely matched but Roger Varian’s filly has the most scope for progression and will enjoy today’s better ground. Saffron Beach and Santa Barbara were second and fourth respectively in the Qipco 1000 Guineas with the latter still showing signs of inexperience but neither are certain to appreciate the step up to 1m4f.
