In depth

Verdict

CARRIED had been running well on the Flat and over fences before scoring by 22 lengths at Wexford on Wednesday. If turning out under a 5lb penalty, he'd be impossible to oppose. He finished five lengths in front of Downthecellar when they occupied the places at Downpatrick earlier. The latter has since scored at Limerick and, though 6lb higher, appears to be progressing nicely. Schmidt has only performed moderately in two starts in Scotland while Thisonesforollie is 0-16 over fences, though ran much better when a close third at Tipperary last month. Port Rashid scored over 2m6f here in April so is likely to find this on the short side.
