Verdict

LEGATISSIMO (NAP) bids to become the first 1000 Guineas winner to land this since Kazzia in 2002. Her pedigree ties her in with Ascot Gold Cup winner Fame And Glory and David Wachman's filly tapped into her stamina to beat Lucida in the Guineas with the rest nowhere - she looks a cut above these coming into the race. The progressive Star Of Seville got the better of Fillies' Mile winner Together Forever in the Musidora at York by only a head but is less exposed than the Ballydoyle filly and fancied to confirm running. The latter's stablemate Diamondsandrubies won the Cheshire Oaks and is one of a slew of Listed winners that includes Jazzi Top, Lady Of Dubai and Newbury winner Crystal Zvezda. The latter has been strongly supported ante-post while Jessica Harrington's Jack Naylor finished a commendable fourth in the Irish 1000 Guineas and is bred for this longer trip. She also beat the election at the Curragh as a two-year-old. French raider Al Naamah was narrowly beaten in a Group 3 last time and is a sister to 2012 Oaks winner Was. Bellajeu and Qualify make up the rest of the field but are harder to fancy.
