Verdict

Bastille Day had DREAM OF SUMMER and Powderhorn behind when successful at Kempton last month but has done all of his winning at that track and Andrew Balding's charge wasn't beaten far and is now 5lb better off. The three-year-old can do best of that trip today and beat Hail Clodius, another to run well last time at Kempton. The Salmon Man has been knocking on the door but also climbing the weights and Cordite has lost his way. But Finelcity won here in April, though seems best with more give in the ground.
