Verdict
Flying Spirit likes winning on tracks with unusual configurations and he can take this at the expense of Lennel, Flotta and Desert Island Disc. The useful Simon Walker has been booked for this course-and-distance winner and while the ground is something of an imponderable, it is difficult to get away from his claims. Lennel also has a useful jockey aboard and more pertinently a fairly light weight. A good third at Haydock Park earlier this month puts him very much in the shake-up. Flotta looks to need every yard of this trip these days while Desert Island Disc could prove a tough nut to crack if given a soft lead upfront. Tender Falcon is best of the rest. A good race in prospect with Flying Spirit getting first preference.
