Verdict

Dawson City is 4lb higher than when landing this marathon 12 months ago but 14lb better off with third Jepeck, who was raised a massive 17lb after winning at Ffos Las in November. Samuel Jackson was possibly a lucky winner over 3m here last month but had Aurillac back in fourth and has been left on the same mark. Chic Name is interesting as he won the Highland National at Perth over this trip last year and is back on the same mark but Another Venture remains out of sorts and Calin Du Brizais always seems to find at least one too good. COBOLOBO shapes as though this stamina test will suit and his trainer has a good record in this. Noel Fehily is a good jockey booking for the seven-year-old, who gets the nod.
