Verdict

Ask Dillon won in a higher grade at Ascot but was rather handed the race by the reluctance of the runner-up. Umbrigado only won a Southwell maiden in December but the form has worked out quite well so he shouldn’t be underestimated. Haldon Hill won a bumper here in December and was then second to a more-experienced rival in a maiden on the track last month and also goes on the short-list along with Fly To Mars, a runner-up twice at Plumpton. ACCOMPLICE joined the Nicholls yard after sluicing up in a hurdle over this trip at Fontainbleu in November. He could be anything and his new stable couldn’t be in better form.
