In depth
Verdict
ALLEGORIE DE VASSY won twice over hurdles here in January last year and made a spectacular start to her chasing career, winning easily at Grade 2 level at Limerick and Thurles. She couldn't quite hold Impervious in the Mares' Chase at Cheltenham and can regain the winning thread. Her stablemate Instit was a long way behind Impervious at Cork earlier so looks held but Limerick Lace is proving a better chaser than hurdler and followed a double in novice company with a very good second behind Journey With Me in a Naas Grade 3. Broomfield Hall began his chasing career with a double here in the autumn but didn't appear to act in very testing conditions in a Limerick Grade 2 in December, a race won easily by the selection. The remaining trio will need to improve to play a part.
