Verdict

Gordon Elliott has three entries and both Favori De Champdou and Landrake are ridden by 7lb claimers. The former was on a four-timer when pulled up in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham where he pulled too hard and would have to be considered on an earlier Grade 2 victory at Limerick. Landrake is the only course winner having won over 2m4f and will enjoy the conditions more than most. Seabank Bistro also pulled up in the Albert Bartlett but is very closely matched with Landrake on a line through the consistent Corbetts Cross. Western Walk landed a Navan maiden in good style and makes his handicap debut but VERDANT PLACE (NAP) has been improving at a rate of knots and the booking of Aidan Kelly with his 7lb claim can see him complete a hat-trick.
