Verdict
Winning point-to-pointer Doran The Legend was tackling this trip for the first time over regulation fences when impressing in a Sligo handicap. The assessor has taken note with an 11lb rise and runner-up Loch Luatha should get closer, though a strike-rate of 1-42 doesn't inspire confidence. WAKE UP EARLY (NAP) went up 8lb for scoring at Galway and the extra took its toll on a return visit though he travelled well throughout and this looks a slightly softer handicap so he gets the nod. Robin De Roost had dropped to a lowly mark when runner-up at Punchestown and has gone up 2lb while Ask Cory has yet to win though his close second at Ayr on his first start over the trip was a good effort and a repeat performance would see him in contention.
