This is a poor-quality handicap and affords GEORGIESHORE a chance to complete a quick double after scoring at Galway last month, only his second start for Gavin Cromwell, as he won from higher marks in the UK. Bythesametoken has never won but didn't run badly here last time and is 1lb lower while Mickey Shea has been racing on quicker ground and may appreciate this testing surface. Dual Flat winner Sporty Yankee hasn't shown much but is having just his third start for Gordon Elliott and is on a very lowly mark so improvement is likely. Grey Habit has shown the occasional glimpse of potential and can't go any lower in the weights.
