    Verdict

Amalfi Doug disappointed last time having gone close at Stratford on his earlier hurdling debut. Coroberee has yet to threaten over timber but better is expected from him while Gannicus has gone backwards since placed at Kempton in November. BASIL BERRY (NAP) has won 10 times on the Flat and makes his hurdling bow. Rated much higher on the level than fellow hurdling newcomer Ritasun, Chris Dwyer’s charge may prove good enough in this.
