Verdict

The four-year-old CHAPARRAL PRINCE looks to have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark. Nicky Henderson's charge is no stable star but he's been performing in much better company and his two narrow defeats at Kempton at the turn of the year would be good enough. He receives the weight-for-age allowance from Topofthecotswolds, who has only shown moderate form but his pedigree suggests he'll do much better with this stiffer test of stamina. Dancing Doug changed stables in March and made a decent debut for new connections in a 2m5f handicap at Sedgefield where he couldn't quite get past the winner, who was receiving 5lb.
