      Verdict

      Philip Kirby has booked Richard Johnson for Lady Kyria, a winner on ground with a bit of give at Newcastle before disappointing on quicker going at Carlisle. A winner on soft ground on the Flat in France she would be suited by some rain. Lace Bonnet battled to victory over the minimum at Warwick but weakened when tackling this course and distance in March so the logical choice is INESSA (NAP). Richard Newlove's mare completed a double last summer when successful over this trip at Southwell and has returned in fine form, beaten only 6l in a Listed handicap at Cheltenham last month. Tsundoku has won over the trip but went up 2lb for being beaten 5l at Plumpton.
