Verdict

Warren Marston seems luckless with injuries these days but he'll be busting a gut to take the mount on Adronikus. The TEAMtalk selection is certainly no worldbeater but if the penny has dropped after a win at Market Rasen, the former German flat performer could be well in off a mark of 85. Old-boy Xaipete may be the one to chase him home. Better known as a chaser, he does have bits and pieces of form over the smaller obstacles that could put him in with a major shout. Larry McGrath's 7lb allowance should put the horse closer than some of the experts may believe. The well bred Apadi is capable of winning this on his best form but the Chapman stable are in wretched form at the moment and he is passed over accordingly. Saxon Queen is a previous winner at the track but her victories have come at selling grade or thereabouts. Mick Fitzgerald will certainly be earning his riding fee on Amwell Star.
