In depth

Verdict

LAVA LAMP has taken well to hurdles, winning on his debut at Plumpton in April before finding only one too good in better company at Stratford and Newton Abbot. The visor he usually wore on the Flat is back on today and Evan Williams' charge can return to winning ways at the chief expense of First In The Queue, who has found life tough since scoring at Huntingdon in March but is another having his sights lowered here. Sorcillera got off the mark over C&D earlier in the month and may still be improving. She looks the pick of the remainder ahead of Wetherby winner King's Realm and the disappointing Not In The Clock.
