This doesn't look a great maiden so SPANISH DUKE may not need to improve in order to get off the mark. Onyx Of Arabia and Orsett Lad rate the dangers. John Dunlop has hit the target with five of his 14 juvenile runners here over the past five seasons whilst Frankie Dettori's record aboard Dunlop juveniles reads one win from two rides over the same period. That all bodes well for the son of Big Bad Bob although everything about his pedigree shouts that he won't come into his own until tackling middle distance handicaps. Onyx Of Arabia was slowly away and ran green at Windsor but that would be in keeping with the majority of the yard's juveniles and it's reasonable to expect significant improvement. Orsett Lad has the option of nurseries and sets the standard following some fair performances; he's another that will come into his own over further given more time but he merits respect nonetheless. Come On Safari is showing signs of heading in the right direction whilst Red Amy may be able to build on her debut and neither can be dismissed but the Dunlop track record points to Spanish Duke being the one.
