Hard To Catch can defy topweight at the expense of Double M and Inching in the opening race on the card. Hard To Catch lines up as the only recent winner in the line-up, having scored at Brighton despite being slowly away. He goes on the ground and despite being upped in the weights, is still not badly treated, as he was due to go down 3lb after that latest victory. The draw is always important at Folkestone as well, as many races are won on the far rail. With that in mind, Hard To Catch has a great position in stall 12. Inching improved markedly when beaten in a photo by Lady Protector at Lingfield last time and is also well drawn. She might just need six furlongs to be seen to best effect though. Double M goes on fast ground and is a consistent sort who is also well housed, but his best form of late has been on the all-weather, and for the winner we return to Hard To Catch.
