An open heat where cheekpieces might help galvanise SADDLERS BEND to greater efforts than of late, and he is taken to have the measure of Style Award and Whotsit. The last-named has been steadily slipping down the handicap, although the assessor has decided against dropping him any further despite being well beaten last time at Yarmouth on soft ground, which he would have enjoyed. He hasn't yet run as well in today's conditions and so we will oppose. Style Award, on the other hand, loves to hear her hooves rattle and won over this trip at Windsor in May of last year from a mark 6lbs higher than today's. She has been showing signs of a return to form just lately and should be thereabouts. Bollywood Style is back on a winning mark from her Polytrack running, though this is her first try on turf. If she takes to it then she would be entitled to plenty of respect. Rough Rock acts in conditions and over this trip, but we will side with Saddlers Bend. George Baker's filly has won over this trip and also 9f, and as one who acts well on the Polytrack then she may also go on this faster ground. She has not been far away despite her finishing places of late and after another 1lb drop we will give her the nod.
