Verdict
A decent race for its grade concludes the card and the percentage call looks to be DUBAI BOUNTY, with Secretive and Shelfah obvious dangers. The last-named scored under Frankie Dettori at Kempton last time and has gone up 6lbs for that, which was over 1m 3f. The drop back in trip shouldn't be a major problem, but she has it to prove on the ground, which pedigree suggests is plenty quick enough and we will give her the swerve today. Secretive was a debut scorer at Southwell, but being by Shamardal he should go on this faster surface. The step up in trip might help him do better than when all at sea over 7f at Lingfield on his handicap debut last time, as will a 2lb drop, but he has a bit to prove now at the weights. Lingfield Bound has done all his running at the track from which he takes his name, making the frame three times, all on the Polytrack. He is 4lbs higher today than when making the frame there over 7f earlier in the month and the step up in trip should suit, so he is feared. Even so, we prefer Dubai Bounty. A Wolverhampton winner on debut, Gerard Butler's filly went well on her own handicap introducton at Kempton a couple of weeks ago. and is another for whom being upped in distance looks a positive. The booking of Ryan Moore is another plus and the ground should suit, so she gets the verdict.
