Verdict
St Kilda is steadily getting the hang of this game and should go close in this company, but preference is for Countess Camilla, with Easibrook Jane also expected to run well. The selection pulled up in a valuable handicap hurdle at Newbury on her final start last season, but had previously landed a couple of novice events at Cartmel and Haydock. If fit enough following a long break she should be capable of beating these on her chasing debut. St Kilda ran well to finish third in a Lingfield handicap last time and could make the frame again. Easibrook Jane was a decent hurdler and went off quite well fancied on her chase debut at Plumpton but came to grief early on. If she has sorted her jumping out she will be the main threat to the selection. Toulon Rouge is from a shrewd yard so should be watched in the betting, but Countess Camilla has always looked like a chase and gets the vote.
