In depth

Verdict

Latitude should take all the beating in this novices' chase with Luneray, Cyanara and Bdellium put forward as the dangers. The selection from the in-form Martin Pipe yard made a pleasing British debut when scoring from Plumier at Exeter last time. This mare looks a progressive type and should be capable of scoring again. Luneray is a French-bred mare who was well-beaten last time behind Lalagune at Uttoxeter and the suspicion is that she will once again find one too good. Cyanara has shown a fair level of form but is without a win in 16 starts over fences so the percentage call is to look elsewhere for the winner, while Bdellium made a promising debut over fences last time and could be interesting if the market vibes are positive. This should be an interesting race, and we will make Latitude the confident selection.
