Verdict
A wide open bumper here and as usual in these types of events the market will prove all important but the principals look to be Countess Point, Kings Bay and Sartell and the vote goes to Kings Bay. The gelding from the Hughie Morrison yard won well on his debut when defeating Druid¿s Confederacy and although he has a penalty for that win he will be hard to beat with conditions again in his favour. Countess Point rates the main danger on her debut second behind Having A Party but that was on heavy ground and she may not be as effective on this faster surface. Starello is also worthy of respect he is a well-bred sort from a yard that does well in this sphere and is worth noting in the market. Of the remainder Leroy¿s Sister is sure to have improved for her debut run and is another that could go well but for the winner we return to Kings Bay.
