High Gear has run respectably in defeat in recent starts and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to resume winning ways, getting the vote ahead of Fieldsofclover and Corrib Drift. The last mentioned has shown improved form of late and has to be respected but is not certain to appreciate the step up in trip so looks best watched. Matthew Muroto has given little sign of encouragement of late, while Manly Money has slipped to a fair mark but needs to improve on recent form. Wild Knight has place claims but a bigger threat is likely to come from Emma Lavelle's Fieldsofclover who has been running well of late but is not certain to stay this far. The trip is of no concern to High Gear though and he is preferred.
