Verdict

Dermot Weld has had a poor Festival by his lofty standards and though newcomer Gatwick Kitten has a superb pedigree he's up against a couple of once-raced Ballydoyle opponents who will take some beating. Delta Dawn, who is by Galileo out of the smart sprinter Fire Lily, was outpaced for most of the way over 7f at Gowran but ran on under pressure. He'll obviously be suited by the extra but may have to settle for second-best behind EMPEROR OF THE SUN, another son of Galileo who missed the break before staying on steadily over a mile at Killarney. Whatsallthatabout finished a long way last at Roscommon in June.
